When it comes to reaching a healthy weight, do you want to know want is the best use of your time, money, and effort?
This project has a single focus: To make freely available* the most evidence-based weight management strategies in one, easy-to-access place. Over the coming months and years, the project will take several shapes and forms, including a blog, a book, a collaboration of enthusiastic and interested minds and, of course, this website will function as its host. The most exciting parts of the project are ones which have not yet been conceptualized, but instead are seedlings in the minds of its contributors and followers.

We invite feedback and contributions from anyone, anywhere. All we ask is that you support your feedback with references where necessary and remain civil in discussion. We currently have no strict set of rules for unacceptable behavior and hope we won’t need any. Play nice.

History
Back in 2007 or 2008, we got the bright idea to write a book about fat loss that talked about all the things we felt were important for a person’s success. The original work was SPEED – The Only Weight Loss Book Worth Reading, which later became SPEED – A Complete How-To Manual for Quick and Permanent Fat Loss as we became a bit less cocky (but not less confident) and realized a more descriptive subtitle was needed. We also operated DoingSPEED.com, the writings of which are archived here in our main blog section. Today, we are moving on to this project, updating much of what was written in SPEED and adding new and pertinent information as needed.
Who Are We?
We are two guys that really like what we do and get a lot of pleasure from reading and writing about a variety of fields related to weight management and overall health promotion. We seem to feel that we can make a difference by sharing what we know. Will we? Don’t know. But we do know we can’t make a difference if we don’t DO something. So, our current Project, Book, and Blog are the current manifestations of our desire to DO something. Now a few particulars about each of us;
