I am not sure if this is country wide, but in the Phoenix, AZ area, the PBS pledge drive is in full swing and they have a host of speakers that are saying a bunch of nonsense. Full disclosure, in general, I like PBS, particularly Frontline, PBS New Hour, Nova, Nature, and Bill Moyers Journal, so I don’t have an axe to grind against them. However, the overwhelming amount of nonsense that is currently streaming over this channel left me with a very strong urge to highlight this fact.

I have actually comment on the nonsense that has been put forth by JJ Virgin and Haylie Pomrov before.
I am not going to go into detail here about each speaker and the MANY problems with their information. I just don’t want to take the time to do this. Call me lazy (?, remember I do this for free), but its just not worthy of my time at this time. But, if you would like to get an idea of the nonsense see what I have already written about JJ Virgin and Haylie Pomrov.
My goal here is to possibly increase the awareness, raise a red flag, that MOST, but not all, of what these speakers are saying is either complete nonsense or only half-true, and therefore very misleading. You have been warned, proceed with caution.
